Free employee from notice of termination

When your employee is on reduced hours and wants to receive unemployment benefits, you must partially release them from their notice period. This is necessary in order for the employee to receive supplementary unemployment benefits.

To release the employee, you need to fill out and submit a release certificate to Min A-kasse. Follow the instructions below.

How to fill out a clearance certificate

Free up your employee in two ways:

  • The employee can terminate their employment without notice if they are offered work with longer working hours than can be offered in this employment relationship.
  • The employee is free to arrange their working hours.

The release certificate must contain your acceptance that the employee can quit their position with you regardless of notice if they get another job with more working hours and/or can freely place their working hours.

Submit the release certificate within the five-week deadline after the start of employment

We must receive the release certificate no later than five weeks after the first day the employee is subject to a notice period. The release certificate can be sent by regular mail or encrypted with a digital signature to minakasse@minakasse.dk

It's important that the release form is stamped together with the signature. If you don't have a stamp, your CVR number must be noted along with the signature.
