Remember to submit your unemployment benefit card or early retirement card

In order to be able to pay your unemployment benefits and early retirement on time each month, you need to submit an unemployment benefit card or early retirement card. You do this via our Self Service.

The information on your unemployment benefit card or early retirement card is then matched with your employer's report to SKAT's income register. In other words, we can see if you receive a salary, SU or other income while you apply for unemployment benefits or early retirement. 

When do you get paid unemployment benefits and early retirement?

If you have filled in your unemployment benefit card or early retirement card on time, your unemployment benefit and early retirement will be paid out on the last banking day of each month. What happens if you forget to submit your unemployment benefit card or early retirement card?

If you forget to submit your unemployment benefit card, you can still receive unemployment benefit. Your unemployment benefit or early retirement payment will be paid later than the last banking day of the month. You will usually receive your money two working days after you have submitted your unemployment benefit card or early retirement card. We must receive the card no later than one month and ten days after the end of the period.
